Privacy
You choose what each person sees.
Braid was built so you can share your time without sharing your business. Here's exactly what each person can see.
Three privacy levels for every share link.
Pick one when you create a link. You can make as many links as you have audiences.
| Level | What the recipient sees | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Busy only | A block labeled Busy. No title, notes, people or place. | Your household, for a work calendar |
| Titles | Event names and times. No notes or locations. | A partner or co-parent |
| Full details | Names, times, notes and locations. | A nanny or caregiver for the kids' calendar |
What Busy really means.
A work calendar with a board meeting, a one-on-one about pay, and a company holiday becomes plain blocks of time.
Back-to-back meetings show as one block, so nobody can count your meetings. Events you've marked as free, like a company holiday, are left out.
More ways Braid protects you.
- Recipients can opt out. Anyone can turn off a calendar shared with them from the link's own page, with no account needed. You'll see that they turned it off.
- The wall tablet has limited access. It can read only the calendars you put on the wall, the chores and the photos. It can't change settings or invite people. A removed tablet stops working right away.
- Two-step sign-in. Use an authenticator app or a code sent by email.
- Emailed calendars wait for you. A calendar sent to Braid by email stays in review until an account owner approves it.
- Delete your account anytime. Do it from the app, in a few taps.
Questions
Can my family see my work meetings?
Only if you share them that way. With a Busy only link, they see blocks of time labeled Busy and nothing else.
Can I stop sharing a calendar later?
Yes. Turn off or delete the share link and it stops updating for the recipient.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from the app, at any time.
