Your family needs to know when you're free. They don't need to know it's a board meeting. Braid shares your work calendar as plain Busy blocks.

## How to share busy times only.

1. **Add your work calendar.** Paste its iCal link into Braid.
2. **Create a share link.** Choose the calendars to include and set the level to **Busy only**.
3. **Send the link.** Your partner subscribes in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook or any app that takes a calendar link.

## What they see.

| On your calendar | On their calendar |
| --- | --- |
| Board meeting, 9:00 to 10:00 | Busy, 9:00 to 11:00 |
| Q3 revenue review, 10:00 to 11:00 | (merged into the block above) |
| Company holiday (all day, free) | Nothing |
| One-on-one with Dana, 2:00 to 2:30 | Busy, 2:00 to 2:30 |

## Private by design.

- No titles, notes, attendees or locations ever appear on a Busy only link.
- Back-to-back meetings show as one block, so nobody can count them.
- Events marked as free are left out.
- The recipient can turn the share off from the link's page, with no account.

## Questions

### How do I share my Outlook calendar as busy only with my family?

Add your Outlook calendar to Braid with its ICS link, then create a share link set to Busy only and send it to your family.

### Can I give different people different levels of detail?

Yes. Make one link per audience. For example, Busy only for your household and full details for your assistant.

### Does the recipient need Braid?

No. They subscribe to the link in the calendar app they already use.
